Services

Poligrafici Il Borgo Srl works 24 hours a day to provide a range of services:

  • Heat set web offset printing, featuring cutting-edge technology. 16 to 80-page machines with a 60, 116 and 120 cm paper cut-off (maximum printing width: 206 cm), with a CIP3 interface to link with the pre-press department. Numerous fold options and A3, A4 and A5 sheets.
  • Digital printing for fiction books, with equipment for colour printing and a matte or glossy finish on the covers.
  • Cold-set printing in a number of works all over Italy. Products with 8 to 192 full-colour tabloid pages can be printed simultaneously on up to 10 web presses.
  • Sheet-fed printing with five-colour 70×100 machines, plus a spreader for eco-friendly water-based coatings.
  • PRINERGY workflow and control system with CTP lines. Digital proofs can be submitted on FTP servers and approved online using InSite.
  • We have numerous automatic lines for stapled or perfect binding, with the option of PVC shrink film packaging on the line.

Shipping

For our shipping needs, we use a widespread network of carriers that operate all over Italy.
We can also arrange international transport, keeping a close eye on costs and ensuring that everything arrives on time, in accordance with clients’ requests.

Due to the growing need to limit waste by reducing inventory, we have taken organizational measures that enable us to bring stock levels ever closer to the amounts sold while ensuring major Italian publishers can prudently yet promptly cater to network requirements.
In pursuit of these goals, we are focusing exclusively on the Italian market.
The flexibility and attention to detail shown by our young, motivated team make our business a one-off in the fiction books market, with a real drive to grow in its field.
Nonetheless, web-fed and sheet-fed offset technologies for the publishing and commercial worlds continue to provide the foundations for the company’s development projects.
